How to use your content management system....

If you have had a content management system (cms) built in to your website you will need to follow the step below to use it effectively. In essence the content management works in a similar way to a word processing program.

TIP: Create all the text for your web pages before hand with a word processing program and copy and paste it in to your cms. This will save time and act as a backup if anything doesn't go to plan.


 

 

Step1

Come to SGL design home page and click LogIn at the bottom of the screen

 

Step 2

When requested enter your login details:

Email : Your Email address (that cushy cms welcome confirmation came to)
Password: Sent to you in welcome email

Then click login

 

Step 3

Select the page you want to edit from the list.

 

Step 4

Now you should see the content of the page you selected displayed. This is where you can now start editing your site.

 

Step5

You edit your content in pretty much the same way as you would in a Microsoft Word Document or copy and paste from your own files. Below is a some of the more popular buttons on the editor and what they do.

 

Step 6

Once you have finished editing your content, scroll to the bottom of the page and click publish.

 

Step 7

Scroll back to the top of the page and select View live page - to see the changes live on your site.

 

Step 8

Repeat the above processes to update any other editable page on your site.
